Terra Q was purchased in 2000 to facilitate the company’s relocation to Queensland from South Australia. The property was named ‘Terra’ in keeping with the tradition of the company and ‘Q’ due to its Queensland locality. The property is situated on the New England Highway on the outskirts of Toowoomba. Although only a smallholding, it provides an ideal shop window to showcase the company's stock. Terra Q is often the venue for the company’s shows and field days due to its proximity to the regional center. Although the property has some irrigation and cultivation, Terra Q plays a more vital role housing stock in need of special care. The adjoining property, Terramore, is a pre-export facility for export stock. The large, historic farm house has hosted many a visiting delegation and is a showroom for the history of the company. The sunroom is often a favourite for visitors as it holds the extensive collection of ribbons, trophies and memorabilia that the company has acquired over the years. Terra Q is only an hour and a half’s drive from Brisbane and is always open for inspection upon appointment. |
