Terraweena was featured in the October issue of 'The Boer Goat' magazine, the official publication of the American Boer Goat Association Terraweena is Australia's first Boer Goat Stud.
Formed in 1988, Australian Breeding Services (ABS) was established with the express purpose of introducing Boer Goats to the world.
Spread over four properties, ABS is situated in the Darling Downs, near Toowoomba, Queensland. Terraweena, the home property, is located in a scenic, hilly region 30 kms from Toowoomba.
600 metres above sea level, with brisk, cool winters and tropical summers, Terraweena is a lush, picturesque backdrop to Australia's famous Boer Goat Stud, Terraweena. The Terraweena animals formed the basis of the Australian Boer Goat industry when, in 1995, the hardy product of over five years in harsh quarantine conditions in South Australia, were released into every state in Australia.
As the Australian industry developed, so Terraweena grew into servicing the world with provision of its top class animals. With extensive experience in the transfer of genetics, the company specialises in establishing breeding centres in all regions and under all climatic and environmental conditions.
